Debra Fleming, President
- In December 2015, Debra became the President and Chair of Affordable Housing Solutions Florida (AHSF) after 20 years of Affordable Housing Consulting with the Aravot Company LLC.
- The Aravot Company, a development consulting firm focused on pre-development and application development for financing affordable housing; procuring over 200+ million from a variety of affordable housing funding sources. Specializing in HUD Transfer of Physical Assets (TPA), REAC appeals and 2530 approvals, she worked as a consultant for a variety of management companies. In 2009, Aravot joined Training and Development Associates (TDA) as a subcontractor and trainer. During her 5 years with TDA, Debra’s writing skills were widely utilized for Consolidated Plans, procedure manuals and NSP and 1CPD task assignment reporting.
- Debra began her career in affordable housing at the Florida Housing Finance Agency after graduation from Florida State University in Tallahassee. She moved to Miami in 1995 and worked as Development Director for Centro Campesino Farmworker Center before joining Affordable Housing Solutions Florida as VP of Development from 1997- 2000.
- Debra received multiple certifications as a HOME Program Specialist and finds herself back at Affordable Housing Solutions Florida – this time at the helm to take the established CHDO from year 25 on!
